A simple and sinuous gesture compliments the nature of the material, soft and warm to the touch. The perfection of the form evokes a voluptuous corolla, at once organic and futuristic, where all hardware elements are hidden from view.
The design goes beyond form and is expressed with innovative force through the exploration of new materials and technologies.
An incursion into the world of technopolymers led to the choice of a material that appears to be traditional ceramic, polished and glossy, but which captivates the touch with surprising warmth and softness, so supple that it even muffles the sound of running water. The process of working this material, an elastomer called Hytrel® that is unusual for the world of bath fixtures despite being hygienic and durable, involves rotational moulding and the injection of expanded, soft polyurethane into the shell.
Kalla’s formal synthesis reaches its fullest expression in the basin trap, an advanced technological solution that makes the trap totally invisible, whether the basin is wall-mounted or built in to a cabinet, the internal space of which thus remains completely usable. A mirrored inspection door that can accommodate plumbing and electrical wiring resolves the wall-mounted version, while a special half-column cover is provided for installations involving preexisting drains.
Kalla is available in white, red or black, with matching drain stopper.
