Large volumes and unusual proportions play a key role in the new SHUI washbasins from Ceramica Cielo, designed by Paolo D’Arrigo and presented for the first time at Cersaie 2009. Four offerings in different shapes and sizes, all characterised by an iconic spirit and the fashionable design typical of the brand: two pedestal washbasins, in young and contemporary forms, and a further two washbasins, with more decided, almost masculine lines and forms, including a super slim version with a depth of just 30 cm.
The new pedestal washbasins come in two different heights: Freestanding 1 (dimensions 40x40x85 cm lxdxh), a floorstanding pedestal which can be installed against the wall or in the centre of the room, and Freestanding ½, a half pedestal available in three versions for three different installation possibilities: countertop (dimensions 36x36x45 cm lxdxh), wall-mounted with wall-mounted tap (dimensions 36x39x45 cm lxdxh) and wall-mounted with single hole tap (dimensions 36x46x45 cm lxdxh).
Created in a single ceramic die, the new washbasins are presented as a single material volume that transforms them into all round sculptures with a glamorous contemporary look.
The new washbasins are also available in two versions: Consolle 75 washbasin (dimensions 75x50x12 cm lxdxh) for wall-mounted installation and the ultra slim Slim washbasin (dimensions 80x30x12 cm lxdxh) which can be installed in two different ways, either wall-mounted or countertop. Perfect in contract environments too.
New 100% Italian made products – like all Ceramica Cielo products – which offer great attention to detail, formal sophistication and the use of high quality materials, completing the SHUI collection of bathroom fittings, washbasins and taps with a contemporary design and easy-chic spirit.

Washbasins
In addition to the new Freestanding washbasins, Consolle 75 and Slim, SHUI also offers countertop and wall-mounted washbasins, with rounded corners and soft shapes.
3 countertop versions: rectangular measuring 80x40x15 and 60x40x15 cm and square measuring 40x40x15 cm (lxdxh).
3 wall-mounted versions: rectangular measuring 80x48x15, 66x48x15 and 52x48x15 cm (lxdxh).
For maximum practicality and bathroom customisation, Ceramica Cielo offers simple and elegant hand towel rails in chrome-plated brass as accessories.
Bathroom fittings
The solidity of the volumes is attenuated by the formal sophistication that plays with the material, lightening and softening it. The toilet and bidet, available in a wall-mounted version (bidet 36x55x28h. cm and toilet 36x55x28/36.5 cm lxdxh) and a floorstanding version (43 cm h.), have the same size footprint. Their design and technical sophistication means that the two elements can be perceived as a single compositional element.
The bathroom fittings also include a latest generation built-in cistern, which extends down to the floor and encompasses the double flush mechanism. This system makes it possible to achieve a cutting edge and very clean look. The dimensions are 36x14x98 (lxdxh).
The unique features of the collection include the possibility to play with the colours: in addition to white, the washbasins and bathroom fittings are available in black and anthracite grey.
Taps and fittings
SHUI also offers a complete line of chrome-plated mono mixers, designed for use with the washbasins in the collection. Inspired by the square design, SHUI taps and fittings are available in the following versions: normal washbasin, elongated washbasin (including the version for the freestanding floor pedestal), bidet and the external and recessed shower and bath/shower versions.
The external bath version is also available with a duplex showerhead and in an upright floorstanding version with shower handle.
The line is completed by the shower column with incorporated mixer, the wall-mounted shower head and the slide rail.
New for 2009
The new SHUI catalogue will be launched at Cersaie, presenting the entire collection in an extremely contemporary style.
