The Egg collection, designed for Pozzi-Ginori by Antonio Citterio with Sergio Brioschi, is inspired by the absolute simplicity and perfection of the shape of an egg, which has always symbolised purity and regeneration. Presented a year ago at Cersaie 2007, it is put forward again this year, enhanced with new products.
The naturalness of the shape that characterises the collection forms the basis of a series of new items featuring the same, unmistakeable lines. Elegance and simple, rounded geometry are the characteristic features of these new, generously-proportioned, oval, lay-on basins – 60 cm wide - pre-equipped for wall-mounted, single-hole or three-hole tap fittings The new hand washbasins are, on the other hand, designed for small spaces or unusually sited hand-washing areas.
The special shape can provide a surface for resting things on and a functional washbasin, all in a compact size – 48 cm wide by 34 cm deep. The new, rectangular basin in the collection, for mounting on a cabinet, is also very appealing. Down to sheer basics: a perfect oval drawn on a large, smooth top, available in 80 and 110 cm widths and 50 cm depth, for single-hole or three-hole taps. The latest new product in the egg collection is a WC with cistern, complete with a seat featuring soft lines and well-balanced proportions, in an overall size of 70x35 cm.
