A magical flight around the galaxy of Atmosphere before resting along the perfect geometric lines of Cosmati, then far away to the edge of the Far East, just in time to fall into the embrace of the beloved “Audrey”. Once again SICIS is preparing to surprise their admirers at the next International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings due to be held in Bologna from 29th September to 3rd October. In a deep creative flurry, evermore the indisputable emblem of luxury mosaics, SICIS opens a temporary and memorable space, animated by new ideas. A mosaic that draws its strength from tradition whilst continuously managing to break free from the boundaries of its own identity, the favourite and at the same time prodigal son of its history that, be that as it may, is incomparably unique. In Bologna, SICIS puts on display an art capable of abandoning surfaces and getting carried away into perfect volumes to enliven a galaxy of multicoloured planets and satellites, as can be seen in the lights from the Atmosphere collection.
The same art capable of presenting itself a moment later as the perfect interpretation of the purest tradition that is Cosmati style flooring, generating exact surface intersections, solid geometric shapes and playing a sophisticated and modern game perfected by reflections from the glass and elegant marble in shades of grey.
There is even space for new whims, sudden leaps, compositional strengths capable of being led by an unexpected intuition, finding themselves creating immense vases – transformed into enormous columns - inspired by the magnificence of the dynasties of the Rising Sun giving shape to the latest and most spectacular “Magies d’Orient”. The last leg consists of an encounter, a contamination of arts, mosaic blended with objects of exclusive design, in particular with the décolleté-shaped bath named “Audrey”, in honour of the legend that had breakfast at Tiffany’s: each one a unique piece, a combination of practicality and beauty, bath and diva in one.
