Nature. This is the name of the new porcelain stoneware collection from Ceramica Sant'Agostino. The collection is a statement of the Ferrara-based company’s ability to interpret a wooden theme with ever-more surprising results in terms of aesthetics and quality. Following the huge success of the S. Wood collection (Cersaie 2010), this year Ceramica Sant'Agostino presents Nature, a line for use in flooring, inspired by the warm material effects found in antique-effect wood. The ceramic slabs of the collection have been designed to restore the timeless allure of recovered woods in antique cabins or old countryside cottages with unmistakable style, bringing back to their former glory by the hands of skilled craftsmen: lived-in materials closely guard complex, mysterious textures designed to move through time.
The extremely natural wood effect that characterises the ceramic surfaces of Nature is achieved through the perfection of the cutting-edge technologies that the company uses. For each colour in the collection, up to 100 designs are created and mixed. The innovative Digital Technology system transforms the designs into antique and “vein” effects that are different every time, recreating the natural irregularity of real wood that has been blemished over time. An extraordinary technical and aesthetic result that takes into account the health of the planet. The Nature collection is a fully compensated CO2 emissions product created in full respect of the strictest international standards implemented to protect the environment and end consumers.
The Nature line is versatile and refined with the ability to give character and personality to any type of environment – traditional or contemporary, public or residential - with aesthetic results that are highly valued every time. Nature’s technical characteristics of resistance and durability and the extremely easy maintenance of the ceramic slabs in the collection make this cladding ideal even in design contexts that are oriented but highly demanding, for example wellness centres. Nature is available in five bold colours and two different sizes – both with rectified borders. The line rediscovers the exclusivity of random design, created with staves of various sizes (15x120 and 20x120 cm), giving environments an elegant and sophisticated natural effect.
In addition to the brushed version for interiors, a variant with an anti-slip finish has also been designed for outdoor use (available only on request): this variant is intended for those seeking a sophisticated effect of visual continuity between indoor and outdoor areas using the same product.
