Panariagroup, a Group active in the production and distribution of ceramic material for floorings and coverings in the high-end and luxury segments, presents at CERSAIE trade show in Bologna the innovative antibacterial ceramic by Microban®.
Thanks to ongoing work at the Panariagroup Research Centre and a prestigious agreement with the global leader in antibacterial technology Microban, the main lines of floorings and coverings in stoneware and laminated stoneware tiles of the Panariagroup brands will be produced featuring this innovative technology, guaranteeing something more than beauty and durability: hygiene and antibacterial safety for our living, leisure and working environments.
Tiles from the main brands of the Group - Panaria, Cotto d’Este, Lea Ceramiche, Fiordo, Margres and Love Tiles – will be made even safer and protected 24h a day, thanks to the innovative silver-based integrated technology, that eliminates up to 99,9% of bacteria.
The Microban protection is incorporated into the tiles during the production process; once bacteria come into contact with the tile surface, Microban technology works by disrupting their biological functioning, the lifecycle cannot proceed and the bacteria then die.
In addition to that, the innovative technology integrated in the tiles works 24 a day guaranteeing in fact a continuous protection day and night not changeable by wear and tear, climatic conditions and repeated cleans in any usage environment.
Disinfectants are an instant but short term solution that provide only a limited residual activity once the treated surface area dries and bacteria can very quickly start to grow and reproduce. As an alternative, Microban technology guarantees long-lasting protection, continuously working to prevent the growth of bacteria throughout the entire life cycle of the product.
Microban technology has undergone rigorous trials conducted by independent laboratories and benefits from a long history that guarantees its safety of use. It is registered in Europe under the Biocidal Products Directive for all applications in which it is used.
