The theme being proposed by Mosaico+ at the pivotally important Cersaie show of 2009 is Double Visions.

 

The word double refers to the overlapping of planes of perception: that of the project itself, the technical skills required, and the creativity and imagination involved.

 

Two levels of meaning interconnected like two the sides of a sheet of paper that give rise to a project that’s in constant evolution. In the exhibition space photographic images and mosaic creations set up a dialogue in the language of fairy tales.

 

The plane of reality and the plane of illusion come together to evoke an emotion. Once again the encounter of two elements generates a new concept. As in any developing reality the mosaic presented here is not the mere correspondence of form, material and colour, but the dynamic merging of different processes and ideas.
