Important new acknowledgements of Confindustria Ceramica’s importance at a national level.
During the meeting of the Council in Via dell’Astronomia, of which the Chairman Alfonso Panzani has been representing the Association for the last year, also the former Chairman Sergio Sassi was invited to take part to the meeting of 24th July. For the first time, two leading figures in the ceramics industry will be sitting on the most important collegiate body of industrialists in Italy.
These new appointments are in addition to the presence of both Alfonso Panzani and Sergio Sassi on some of the Confindustria Committees of greatest importance in our sector.
Last week, the Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica was appointed member to the “Committee for territorial policies and industrial districts”, the body presided by Aldo Bonomi. Alfonso Panzani has also been a member since November 2006 of the “Steering Committee on Energy”, the advisory body whose function it is to draw up national energy strategies. The committee is chaired by Emma Marcegaglia, and members include Paolo Scaroni, Managing Director of Eni, Fulvio Conti, Managing Director of Enel and the Chairmen of the main Associations of industrial business users.
Sergio Sassi was recently nominated as a member of the ‘Strategic Committee for Internationalisation and Overseas Trade”, the body chaired by Paolo Zegna whose members include among others Giuseppe Morandini, Andrea Illy, Gianni Coda and Carlo Rivetti. This organisation deals with issues such as the introduction of the mark of origin on goods sold in Europe, the direct foreign investment policies of Italian companies and strategies designed to increase Italy’s market share in overseas trade.
