For many years, Albatros has distinguished itself for innovation, creativity and design applied to wellness. Many of its products represent specific stages in the history of this sector. At Cersaie 2008, Albatros is presenting K2O, a new line of top quality tubs with a high degree of aesthetic appeal. The distinctive features of the collection are the clean, soft and rounded lines of the tubs, extremely comfortable inner space and compact external dimensions, to turn even a modestly-sized bathroom into a special space. The technology of the various hydromassage programmes is the result of Albatros's expertise and long experience in the hydrotherapy sector.
The new tubs are called Kendra, Kalima and Kipu and are also available without hydromassage system. Kendra, designed by Massimo Farinatti has a minimal, linear and clean look, with the outside slightly rounded and the tap area located in the bottom of the tub. It is available in the following sizes:160x70, 170x70, 170x80, 180x80 and, previewed at Cersaie 2008, in the angular version 125x125. Kalima, also by Massimo Farinatti, has an unusual design achieved by the asymmetrical shape of the tub area that ensures roomy interior comfort. The available size is 170x70. Brand new in the compact version 160x100 and angular version150x150. The rectangular version of Kipu measures 170x70. Yet, in spite of its compact overall size, it is exceptionally roomy inside due to the soft flow of its lines. A 140x140 corner version of this model is also available, with simple, soft and inviting lines. All versions of the tubs can be equipped with the innovative AQUAsense system that automatically senses tub filling and shuts off the water when the required level is reached. As an option, these tubs can also be combined with the exclusive, chromed, tondò tap fitting designed for Albatros by Sergio Brioschi, in 5-piece version with separate hot and cold water taps, or 4-piece version with mixer.
Still just as beautiful and, for that reason being shown once again on the Cersaie 2008 stand, is the Albatros Vasche Design (Designer Tubs) line. This collection includes the amazing Rossovivo tub, designed by Massimo Farinatti and made of semi-transparent material, the Progress tub available in 180x80, rectangular version with hydromassage and 180x85 and 190x90 built-in oval versions without hydromassage, both extraordinarily beautiful with their classic curve outlining the tub, and the sophisticated Clarissa plus tub in 180.5x80 and 190x90 rectangular and 180x85 oval versions, featuring a distinctive, soft and elongated line. The collection is completed by the austere Facette rectangular tub, available in four sizes – 170x70, 170x75, 180x80, 190x90 – and the Quadra tub designed by Antonio Citterio with Sergio Brioschi, unique in the perfection of its form and careful attention to details, available in 170x75 hydromassage version. All these models can be fitted free-standing, wall-mounted or built-in, providing limitless installation possibilities. Rectangular tubs can be clad on one or more sides with panels in various finishes – tiles, mosaics, stucco work, etc. – or with one of the four wood finishes available in the catalogue, in order to fit in with any furnishing requirements.
