“Each Zucchetti and Kos collection responds to a single unifying concept that brings together design and communication. In our view, all the factors in each of our projects are symbiotically linked to one another. We are constantly pursuing the 'total quality' my father Mario had already begun to pioneer in the Sixties. For us, design and communication are two aspects of a single vision, and each of our collections has its own clear aesthetic vocation that addresses a specific type of architectural setting and a well-identified end user. Each particular space and world is communicated via our catalogues and videos; the user no longer chooses his/her preferred architect or designer by simply looking at the functions of the items, but by selecting objects that suggest new ways they can find to inhabit their own domestic space.
I also believe that industrial design cannot simply rely on the creativity of a single person. It must be the outcome of strong, shared understanding by a team of people, in which each member brings his own specific knowledge and skills, all contributing to the formulation and implementation of the project. So each Kos and Zucchetti collection is the result of a complex process which we closely control at every stage; it is the sum of all the strategic skills, technical knowledge, and industrial expertise that come together as a team. Our people are important to us; our managers, designers, and our technical dept all take part at every step in the process. These important strategic, creative, and human factors enable us, each time, to create innovative projects that set off new trends and influence the international market.”
